Our fresh frozen mixed white fish bones are sold in 1kg bags, ready for you to turn into a beautifully flavoured homemade fish stock — the base for everything from a cracking fish pie sauce to risotto, chowder and proper seafood soups.

Because these are mixed white fish bones, you get a clean, classic stock flavour (not overpowering), which makes it super versatile in the kitchen. They’re frozen for freshness, so you can keep them on hand and make stock whenever you fancy.

How to make fish stock (simple method)
Rinse the bones quickly under cold water if needed.  
Add to a large pot with onion, celery, carrot, a bay leaf, peppercorns and parsley stalks.  
Cover with cold water.  
Bring up gently, skim any foam, then simmer 25–35 minutes (don’t boil hard).  
Strain, cool quickly, then chill or freeze in portions.

Tip: fish stock is best made quickly (unlike beef stock) — that’s how you keep it clean and sweet, not bitter.

Storage (important)
For best flavour, use within 3–4 months in the freezer. After that it’s still safe, but quality can start to drop off.
