Smoked Sprats with heater and chamomile

£5.95 1Tinned fish meets the Nordic landscape. Fangst Smoked Sprats with Heather and Chamomile — also known as Brisling No. 1 — are one of the most beautifully crafted tins you'll ever open.
Danish chef and cookbook author Mikkel Karstad developed the recipe for Copenhagen-based Fangst, drawing on Denmark's rich culinary heritage. MSC-certified European sprats from the Baltic Sea are gently smoked over beechwood and packed in cold pressed rapeseed oil — the Nordic answer to olive oil. Organic heather and chamomile give the tin a floral, aromatic note unlike anything else in the tinned fish world.
How to serve:
- On dark rye bread with crème fraîche and a sprig of dill — a Nordic classic
- As part of a Scandinavian-inspired sharing board
- Straight from the tin with good sourdough and cold butter
