We send everything as next-day delivery. However, we cannot guarantee this delivery date as this is reliant on the courier.

99% of our deliveries make it on time, however there are very rare occasions where your order might arrive the following day.

All our seafood is packed to stay fresh and cold in transit for up to 48 hours. This means that on the rare occasions a delivery is delayed the contents would still be protected.

We cannot provide refunds or replacements for delayed deliveries unless the quality of the product has been compromised. The maximum amount of time an order would be delayed is 24 hours.

If your seafood is for a special occasion, we highly-recommend requesting delivery for the day before - just in case there are any courier issues. As explained above, the freshness of the seafood will not be affected.

All products shipped Frozen should be used on day of arrival.

Yes, as long as your order is placed before Thursday. These slots may be subject to limited availability.

No.

Your fish order is kept cool in transit because we use a one-piece foil insulated cardboard box, and your fish is packed along with specially designed ice packs.

The insulated cardboard box is leak-proof and sturdy. It keeps the inside cool. Our ice packs are made with a water-based gel, which is frozen and packed with the fish. This will keep the fish at the correct temperature for up to 48 hours. When the ice does melt, it stays as a gel, which prevents the delivery becoming wet.

Disposing of Boxes & Ice Packs

Cardboard Box

Remove the foil lining from the cardboard box and put into the general waste. The box can then be recycled. Alternatively, the foil can be re-used for things such as insulation.

Ice Packs

The ice packs within your order contain a food safe gel which can be easily disposed of by cutting the edge off the pack and pouring into the sink. The pack can then be disposed of in your general waste. If preferred, you can dispose of the full ice pack in general waste. Alternatively, these are great to re-use. Just pop them into your freezer and use when required!

All products shipped Frozen should be used within 24 hours of arrival.

Best Method - In the fridge on kitchen towel

Remove the packaging, place the fillet on a suitable plate with a couple of sheets of kitchen towel underneath, cover with cling film and leave in the fridge for 12-24 hours until fully defrosted. This method protects the fish, draws away any excess moisture from the flesh and ensures the quality.

In the fridge in vac pack

You can also defrost the fish in its packaging with fair results. In this case cut off just one corner of the pack and position it so that the water can drip out of the hole you’ve just made into a bowl.

Under a cold tap

If you are in a hurry, keep the fish in its packaging and run it under COLD (never warm!) water. It’s important to leave the packaging on and check there are no holes. If the water comes into direct contact with the flesh it will rinse out quality and flavour.

In Microwave

Remove all packaging, use the defrost function and proceed very cautiously, inspecting after every, say, 60 seconds.. Be very careful not to start cooking the fish.
